This year, one of my New Year’s Resolutions was to “convert more things to digital format, get rid of the real-world versions of those things”. The main thing I was talking about there was my DVD collection.

That’s only the ones that were in my room at the time - the full collection is two to three times that size. Suffice it to say, I had my work cut out for me.

Luckily for you, bewildered reader, I have done the grunt work and found what I consider to be the best way to get your DVDs onto your computer and in a nice playable format - all for free.
