Wow, today came early. When Abby’s alarm went off at 5:45 in the morning, it felt like I had just laid down. We both laid there for a little bit while she debated not going. It’s always an option, yet never an option at the same time. Does that make sense? She’ll talk about not going, but as soon as I seriously say, “well, why don’t you just skip today?” she’ll say “I can’t,” then get up and start getting ready. I don’t know a lot of people who have that kind of determination once they’ve committed to something.
So after I dropped her off, I came home and immediately went back into bed. It was cold outside. I had to leave to catch the train at about 7:40, and I got back at about 6:50, so I set my alarm for 7… then 7:10… then 7:20 before I finally convinced myself that was the latest I could go to where I had enough time to shower, get dressed, pack my stuff for today, then make the train. I made it, of course.
